About Me
- GENDER: Male (He/him/his)
- LANGUAGE: English
My work here at Mind & Spirit involves providing psychological diagnostic evaluations to clients across the lifespan, looking at diverse neurodevelopment, learning, and psychopathology concerns. Additionally, I provide individual therapy to children and adolescents with diverse clinical concerns, such as behavioral challenges, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Within therapy, I generally take an eclectic approach to treatment, drawing from different therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, person centered therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies, to meet clients therapeutic needs.
I am a doctoral level intern here at Mind & Spirit. I am currently finishing up and looking to obtain my Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Denver. From my practicum and clinical training, I have gained a breadth of experience providing diverse clinical services. Within the real of assessment, my experience has been largely around providing psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluation to clients across the lifespan, assessing possible neurodevelopment (e.g., ADHD, intellectual disability), learning, and mental health disorders. Within the realm of therapy, I have experience providing individual talk and play therapy to children and adolescents with diverse clinical concerns and presentations, as well as providing parent coaching to help parents support their child's development and behaviors in the home. Outside of clinical work, I also have experience working within education settings as a school psychologist, providing a mixture of individual and group therapy to students and consultation services to educators.
Much alike the popular phrase "never judge a book by its cover", like the root of a tree, the root of people is generally unseen. We often only see and judge what's on the surface of people and not deeper parts of them, such as their life experiences, adversities, trials and tribulations, values, and beliefs. I truly enjoy the clinical work I get to do in both therapy and assessment, as it has given the opportunity to discover and show care towards these deeper roots of clients. In the process, this has allowed me to better understand my clients holistically and helped my clients feel seen.
