Office Manager

The Mind and Spirit Counseling Center is seeking an office manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity to make a difference for those desperately in need of quality mental health services. The ideal candidate is reliable, well organized, able to multi-task and pay close attention to detail in this essential position that coordinates daily operations. Responsibilities include daily operations, payroll, managing staff, facilities, being a liaison with outsourced partners and relates closely to the administrative leadership team. The position reports to the Executive Director and is part of our leadership team, which requires the ability to be a strategic thought-partner. This is also a great opportunity to grow in responsibility as a nonprofit leader. Appropriate experience and credentials also offer the possibility of increased leadership responsibilities.

Minimum education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of three (3) years of comparable work experience.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health and nonprofit industry.
  • Excellent computational, critical thinking, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidentiality and discretion is a must.
  • Working mastery of computer software such as: Salesforce, Valant (EHR), data dashboard, Microsoft Office, Zoom, social media platforms and others.
  • Training may be offered for some knowledge gaps.

Licensed Therapists

Mind & Spirit Counseling Center (formerly known as Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center), a well- established nonprofit organization, is seeking two full-time licensed therapists (e.g., psychologist, clinical social worker, mental health counselor, marriage and family counselor) to join our team of multi-disciplinary clinicians who are committed to a mind/body/spirit therapeutic approach and serving all ages. We are seeking 1) a licensed therapist who specializes in working with children and adolescents and 2) a licensed therapist who works with adults and couples. Bilingual abilities in Spanish are a plus.
