About Me

  • GENDER: Female (She/her/hers)
  • LANGUAGE: English

For every child, adult, couple, or family I work with, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported. I want you to know that you don’t have to go through life’s challenges alone and that we can work through them together. My style is warm, approachable, and adaptable, focusing on what matters most to you. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based approaches to offer practical tools and strategies, while making sure our work always feels genuine, collaborative, and shaped around your needs. I also provide psychological testing to help answer questions about learning, attention, and emotional well-being.

I’m currently completing my doctoral internship and will receive my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Iowa State University in August 2026. I also hold a Master of Science in Psychology from Iowa State and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. My background shapes how I approach therapy, drawing on a biopsychosocial perspective that considers the connections between your mind, body, relationships, and environment. This perspective helps me look at the full picture of your well-being and tailor our work accordingly. My training has taken me to university counseling centers, private practices, and research-based clinical trials, where I’ve worked with adolescents, adults, and older adults in individual therapy, group therapy, and comprehensive psychological assessment.

I value curiosity, authenticity, and humor, and I try to live those out every day. Curiosity keeps me learning and open to new ideas and perspectives. Authenticity encourages me to be my genuine self, and humor keeps me grounded by helping me notice the little moments that can make even a hard day feel a bit brighter. Outside of work, I share my home with what I affectionately call my “mini zoo” - a Saint Bernard puppy and three cats who keep life lively (and covered in fur). In my free time, I love exploring local ice cream shops with my husband, curling up with a good book, and getting creative with hobbies like knitting, crocheting, and sewing.
