About Me

  • GENDER: Female (She/her/hers)
  • LANGUAGE: English

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker who has a passion for working with children along with their support people that are taking the step to seek additional services. It is an honor that parents and support people trust me to assist with their child(ren). I offer a wide variety of approaches to assist meeting the child where they are at in their journey. Each child is unique and I believe that their therapy should be too. I offer child-centered play therapy, Adlerian play therapy, sand tray therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT, Trust Based Relational Interventions, art therapy techniques, and mindfulness techniques. Often, it is most helpful to incorporate a mix of modalities to meet the needs of the child.

I completed my Bachelors of Social Work at the University of Northern Iowa and completed my Masters of Social Work at the University of Iowa. I have worked in a psychiatric medical institution for children ages 10-17 who needed intense, residential therapy, as both a unit staff and clinician. I have also worked in the hospital setting as an outpatient therapist for children and their families. I am currently seeking certification to be a registered play therapist and am expected to complete this March 2024. I am also a One-Iowa Inclusive Provider and offer an inclusive environment in my practice.

I am passionate about early intervention, collaborative approaches with schools and other providers, and to be a voice for a child while teaching them to be a voice and advocate for themselves. When I am not serving the families at the Center, I am forming connections and memories with my own family. I am a mother, a wife, a pug and shar pei lover, a podcast listener, and a reader.
