Clinical Mental Health Intern

About Me

  • GENDER: Female (She/her/hers)
  • LANGUAGE: English

I am currently a Clinical Mental Health Intern at Mind & Spirit Counseling Center. As an intern, I am continuously learning about approaches, theories and treatment modalities that are individualized to help my clients.

I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Psychology and I currently attend Drake University to get my Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree. Majority of my work experience is in the field of ABA, by working one-on-one with children who have been diagnosed with autism.

I believe every individual is worthy of love and respect. I value advocating for others, continuous learning, and creating a safe environment for all. I have found myself to be drawn towards Internal Family Systems, trauma focused therapy, and somatic experiencing. As a Mental Health Counseling Intern it is my duty to show up as my true authentic self for my colleagues and clients. I hope to foster an environment that allows for all to express any emotion they may feel.
