Wenjing (“when-Jing”) Cao is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides Psych medication management services to children (ages five and above) and adults across the lifespan.

Wenjing received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio State University in 2006 and earned her Master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Louisville in 2011. She has over 15 years of Psych NP experiences in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, treating various mental health conditions and comorbidity of medical illness in the community mental health clinic. Wenjing has worked at the Mind and Spirit Counseling Center since 2021. Wenjing especially likes to see clients ages thirteen and older in the outpatient settings, including clients seeking help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and female reproductive psychiatry problems. She is especially interested in women’s mental health illness across all stages of life. She welcomes teen clients who are looking to transition to adult psychiatry services. Wenjing sees clients via tele health and in the office. She has evening slots available to help out busy working clients. As a veteran herself, she welcomes all service members, active duty members or veterans.

Her goal is to provide help and be present with clients as they are working on the life-long process of healing. She is interested in lifestyle interventions, including healthy living and alternative medicine.
