As the Director of Development at Mind and Spirit Counseling Center, I lead the Center’s philanthropic efforts, advancing our mission to bring understanding, hope and healing to people of all ages through counseling and education. My passion and commitment to the consciousness shift happening on our planet, individual and collective healing, and accessibility of therapeutic tools aligns perfectly with mission and values of The Center. Every day, I am inspired by the compassionate care our talented team of clinicians provide and by our committed supporters that make this work possible. I am excited to be dedicating my career to this work!
Since 2008, my career has focused on serving vulnerable populations across Iowa. Most recently, I served as director of Meals on Wheels for Central Iowa and have a decade of experience in fund development, working with WesleyLife and EveryStep. I am excited to utilize my fundraising, strategic relationship building experience, and enthusiasm to create more opportunities for hope, healing, and transformation to occur here at the Center.
My husband Jason and I live in Des Moines and have three children. When I am not at the Center, I enjoy practicing and guiding others in their yoga practice, gardening, dancing to the magic of live music, inner and outer exploration, and journeying along the spiritual path of self-illumination.
