As the Executive Director of Mind & Spirit Counseling Center, my responsibilities revolve around the strategic alignment and growth of the Center. I provide clarity and accountability to the Board of Directors, while leading the day to day operations with the Leadership Team. Together we collaborate to make Mind & Spirit Counseling Center an amazing place to work, grow, and learn while serving our community through mental health services and supports.

As an experienced leader, entrepreneur, and attorney with significant diversity in both nonprofit and corporate, I have worked across many industries. After graduating from Drake Law, I practiced consumer protection law in private practice for a few years before joining the Principal and Aviva to practice in corporate compliance. I have almost a decade of nonprofit experience as well, leading operations and growth for Iowa's first ethnic-community led organization (EMBARC), and spearheading the capital campaign for YSS to raise over $20 million to build Iowa's first behavioral health campus. As an entrepreneur, I co-founded and served as CEO of an industrial services start-up, leading us to national growth before selling the company. For the last year, I have leveraged my professional experiences to provide consulting and fractional COO services to small to mid-size businesses focused on team development, infrastructure, and growth.

I am an optimist who believes we are all doing the best we can with what we've got. Purpose-driven work is very important to me, and I find joy in work that makes a difference. My core values are learning and pride so I'm driven to tackle new challenges. My personal joy comes from my two children and my amazing circle of friends. Community and connection are always my top priorities.
