Mind & Spirit Counseling Center – Urbandale, Iowa
Mind & Spirit Counseling Center (formerly Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center), a trusted nonprofit with over 50 years of service, is seeking a full-time licensed therapist to join our dynamic, mission-driven team. This position entails 25 clinical hours per week and offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative environment that values a mind/body/spirit approach to care.
We welcome applicants from a variety of clinical backgrounds, including:
- Psychologists
- Licensed Independent Social Workers (LISW)
- Mental Health Counselors (LMHC)
- Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT)
Our team is composed of dedicated, multi-disciplinary clinicians committed to delivering holistic and client-centered mental health services for individuals of all ages — from children to older adults.
About Mind & Spirit Counseling Center
As a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization, we proudly serve more than 4,000 individuals annually, including over 700 children. We offer a broad spectrum of services designed to promote emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being:
- Individual, family, and group counseling (including child and adolescent therapy)
- Psychiatric consultation and medication management
- Psychological testing and assessment
- Graduate and post-graduate clinical training programs
- Holistic healing practices and spiritual direction
