About Me
- GENDER: Female (She/her/hers)
- LANGUAGE: English
I am a Therapist/Pastoral Counselor working with adolescents and adults who are experiencing difficulties navigating the multifaceted realities of life. From work concerns, to family life difficulties, to individuals seeking more meaning, I seek to listen well and to be curious about each person I see. I work to create grounded space to help clients seek more understanding of their selves and the systems that they are a part of.
While I work with people from a variety of faith traditions, or no faith tradition, my interest in this work began at the intersection of psychotherapy and religious studies. I received my Master of Divinity from the University of Chicago's Divinity School, and my Masters of Social Work from the University of Chicago's Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice. I have lived and worked in a variety of environments, and this multiplicity of experience informs my work as I strive to be a non-judgmental presence. Most recently, I provided therapy to young adults in a university setting, but I have previously worked in churches, hospitals, and assisted living. I enjoy supporting the growth, maturity, and self-compassion of those in various leadership positions - such as business leaders, teachers/principals, ministry leaders/pastors, and family leaders.
I am currently licensed in Iowa as well as my home state of Missouri. As a recent transplant to DSM, my family and I are enjoying exploring the city and are often hiking or biking on the weekends when the weather cooperates! Some of my favorite things are pretty simple - time with my family, visiting friends, exploring nature, cute animals, and good tv.
