About Me

  • GENDER: Male (He/him/his)
  • LANGUAGE: English

I work with adults to resolve anxiety, trauma, PTSD and depression. I also have experience working with chronic pain and health or illness related concerns. I draw from multiple theoretical backgrounds to assist my clients. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and completed the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) training program for psychological trauma. SP is a body-centered therapy that can bridge the gap when traditional "talk" therapy has not been helpful and welcomes the body as a source of wisdom that can guide healing from traumatic experiences. I believe in a holistic and experiential approach to therapy that involves enhancing personal strengths, cultivating compassion, the experience of self-discovery and helping my clients connect with their own innate capacity for hope and healing.

I have been working in the behavioral health field since 2009. I received my undergraduate degree from Grand View University and my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa. I returned to the Center in 2020 after completing the Graduate Clinical Training Program in 2017. I also assist the Center's Graduate Clinical Training Program by teaching and supervising current graduate students who are completing their final requirements to become licensed therapists.

I value and feel honored to assist any person that comes to the Center. I strongly believe that all persons have within themselves what is needed for true hope and healing, and I assist my client in that self-discovery. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, woodworking, gardening, playing with my two dogs and spending time with friends and family.
