Social Worker and Therapist
About Me
- GENDER: Female (She/her/hers)
- LANGUAGE: English, Spanish
I believe that sometimes what we need most is a safe place to be heard, to feel seen, understood, and accepted without judgment. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and collaborative environment where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. I work alongside my clients to create a safe and supportive environment where they can explore challenges, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools for meaningful change. As a bilingual therapist who speaks both Spanish and English, I understand how powerful it can be to express your thoughts and emotions in the language that feels most like home. As a first-generation immigrant, I also understand that our culture, family, identity, and experiences can influence how we see ourselves and how we move through the world. These parts of who we are deserve a place in the therapy room.
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa in 2024, with a program focus on trauma-informed care. While I am beginning my clinical practice, I bring five years of experience working in family-centered services, where I supported children and families through a variety of difficult life situations, challenges, and transitions. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of meeting each person where they are and recognizing the unique strengths, needs, and experiences they bring with them.
I work with individuals across the lifespan and believe that every person has their own unique story, strengths, and reasons for seeking therapy. My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you. Whether you are going through a difficult transition, feeling overwhelmed, working through past experiences, or simply wanting a better understanding of yourself, you do not have to navigate it alone. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can feel empowered, build confidence, and move toward the life you want. My happy places are my family and friends. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog Sol. In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking/learning new recipes, and crafting while watching a show or movie.
